To plant – Remove the woolen thread after wearing the Rakhi, Pry open the outer pod with a knife and remove the seeds. Sow it approx. 1 inch deep into a small garden pot filled with a potting mix of garden clay, soil and some cocoa peat ideally. Sprinkle with a little soil over it, water it with a spraya dn keep in the shade. Seeds will germinate in about 5 days and once they are over 4 inches tall, transfer to a bigger pot or soil. Compost the shell.
